Description: The Chamomile German plant is an annual, reaching up to 60cm in height. From May to August it flowers, sporting top-heavy flower heads with a fragrance similar to apples.
Color: Bluish green to deep blue liquid.
Common Uses: German Chamomile contains azulene, which gives the oil a deep blue color.This blue crystal is not actually present in the plant itself, but forms in the oil.The quality of the oil is generally graded by its azulene content, and a good quality oil will contain between 4.5 - 5%.
